Photographer. Restaurant owner. Artist.
He started shooting in his early twenties with his MinoltaX-300 to evade from the close-minded Elba Island. In 1998 he took over his father’s restaurant, forgetting about photography for a while, taking it back in 2004 when he boarded his first plane to explore the East. Traveling became soon a necessity, so that he started visiting Asia multiple times for 3-4 months, capturing the cruel reality of the Asiatic Southeast’s poor people.
Later, during his trips through the world’s most modern metropolis, the lines and geometrics of Gaudì, Novel, Gehry and other famous architects changed him, evolving his style in a more linear and harmonic way. The photos are technically perfect, almost obsessively geometric and clean, to better show his own point of view.
In 2008 he inaugurated his personal art gallery in the restaurant, showing his pieces with particular attention to the presentation and the way they were placed, using the best materials and print quality in the world.
